Upcoming Author Appearances

Please stay tuned for news of future author appearances.

From an early age, psychic Nancy Myer (formerly Nancy Czetli) knew she was different from other people. She could feel things that others couldn't; she could connect with nature and with people who had passed on. She could see the pastand the futureand was labeled a "star child." Her father possessed some of these intuitive abilities as well, and it was his passing and return visits from "the other side of life" that unlocked the true nature and extraordinary gifts of one of America's most important psychic investigators.

Nancy's memoir, Travels with My Father, traces her evolution as a person with psychic abilities, her struggle to accept the intuitive gifts she was given, and her desire to lead a "normal" life raising three energetic children. But when a state police official asks her to use those psychic gifts to help solve murder cases, Nancy's normal life turns upside down, and she begins an inner struggle to deal with what she calls "the worst of humanity."

Part love story and part mystery, with vivid descriptions of some of her toughest criminal cases, Travels with My Father explores the most profound questions of the universe: What is our purpose here on earth? What happens at the end of a lifetime? Where does the soul go?

Travels with My Father provides information that can be helpful in daily life on topics that include:

  • Harnessing positive energy
  • Understanding psychic abilities
  • Working with law enforcement
  • Handling aging parents
  • End-of-life issues
  • Coping with and overcoming grief

As Nancy reveals in her remarkable story, the end isn't really an end at all, but merely a transition to a new existence. In recounting many travels with her father, and his return to both her and her mother, Nancy concludes, "Death can't stop love."

Author Bio

Nancy Myer is a familiar face to millions from her television work. She has appeared on the national broadcast series, Unsolved Mysteries, 48 Hours, Geraldo, Psychic Detectives, Psychic Investigators, Paranormal Borderline, FBI Psychics (Japan), Court TV, and on many local and national radio and television interview shows.

Nancy was born in Warwick, New York and spent her youth traveling. Her father worked in the U.S. Foreign Service, work that took him to Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, and Afghanistan. Nancy went to high school in Beirut, Lebanon. After high school she returned to Delaware, her father's home state, attended the University of Delaware, and graduated with degrees in Spanish and English. While in Delaware she married, adopted sons Blake and Travis, and gave birth to a daughter, Heidi.

Over the years, Nancy’s psychic abilities expanded and she began to express to people the impressions she was picking up. This caused an unexpected problem as friends would visit and not go home because they wanted to ask her questions all night. Finally she set up office hours so that she could get some rest and take care of her children. That's the odd way in which Nancy's career as a psychic got started.

During a community college seminar in which she demonstated psychometry, Nancy met Col. Irvin Smith, head of the Delaware State Police, who spent weeks trying to convince Nancy to use her abilities for the benefit of law enforcement. She finally relented, and thus began a distinguished career as a psychic detective. She has worked more than 800 missing persons and murder cases and has given new information to law enforcement proven to be correct 90 percent of the time.

Nancy completed her Masters in writing and is almost finished with her doctorate in education. Fulfilling one of her own predictions from a vision at age nine that she would one day be a published author, she wrote Silent Witness: the True Story of a Psychic Detective with co-author Steve Czetli, and now Travels With My Father: Life, Death, and a Psychic Detective. She is currently working on her first novel and on a series of historical books for children, the Little Miss Stout series, based on her grandmother's childhood on the docks of New York. Nancy also teaches college writing and Spanish, and in her spare time continues to write.

She lives in Western Pennsylvania near her son Travis, his wife Rhonda, and his two children, Trey and Kaitlyn. Heidi also lives nearby in Pittsburgh with her wife Diane and children Joshua and Sarah. Her eldest son Blake lives in Florida where he indulges his love for fishing. Nancy lives with her black lab Herbie, a rescue dog. Visit Nancy's web site.
